Facebook Organic Growth — Europe Wide
Creation, management and organic growth of seven European Facebook and Instagram profiles for the Shutters Factory Group — powered by an in-house cross-posting platform that uses the Meta API and Gemini AI to distribute, rephrase and localise content across all markets simultaneously.
The brief
This case study covers the European social media programme for the Shutters Factory Group. The group’s other digital work is documented separately: the UK Retail / B2C digital partnership, the bespoke CRM and ordering portal, the European B2B web presence, and the Shutters Factory Planner.
As Shutters Factory expanded its presence across Europe, the need for a consistent, active social media presence in each market became clear. Seven markets. Seven Facebook pages. Seven associated Instagram accounts. Each with its own audience, its own language, its own contact details — and all needing regular, quality content to grow.
The conventional approach — a social media manager per market, or a manual posting workflow repeated seven times — was neither scalable nor cost-effective. We built a better one.
The pages
We created and continue to manage Facebook pages and associated Instagram accounts for seven European markets:
- Shutters Factory — Ireland
- Shutters Factory — Netherlands
- Shutters Factory — Belgium
- Shutters Factory — France
- Shutters Factory — Hungary
- Shutters Factory — Austria
- Shutters Factory — Germany
Each page is set up with full Meta Business authentication, localised profile information, and contact details specific to that market.
The cross-poster

To make organic content at this scale operationally viable, we built an in-house automated cross-posting platform on top of the Meta API.
How it works
The workflow starts with a single designated source page — the one where all content is created and scheduled. The content team works in one place, using advanced post scheduling to plan the month’s content in a single session.
The cross-poster listens to the source page. When a new post is published, it captures the full post content — text and attachments — and triggers the distribution pipeline.
That pipeline does four things for each destination page:
-
Rephrases the text. The post copy is passed through a Gemini AI model, which rewrites it with varied phrasing so each page receives unique content rather than a verbatim copy. This matters for both audience experience and platform reach — identical content across multiple pages is penalised by the algorithm.
-
Translates where needed. For non-English markets — France, Germany, Hungary, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium — the content is translated into the appropriate language as part of the same pipeline step. No separate translation workflow, no manual copy-paste.
-
Substitutes contact details. If the source post contains a phone number or email address, the cross-poster automatically detects and replaces them with the correct contact details for each destination market. A post mentioning the Irish phone number will arrive on the German page with the German phone number — without any manual intervention.
-
Reposts with attachments. The processed text and the original image attachment are posted to the destination page via the Meta API. The post appears natively on each page, indistinguishable from a manually created post.
The result: one scheduling session produces ten unique, localised, correctly attributed posts across all seven markets.
Dashboard
The cross-poster is accessed through a web dashboard. From there, the operator designates the source page and the destination pages for each distribution run. Each page connection requires Meta OAuth authentication, with access tokens refreshed on a monthly cycle.
Current capabilities
The platform currently supports:
- Simple page posts with text and image attachments
- Reels with image attachments
In development
We are actively extending the platform to support:
- Video attachments — both single video posts and multi-video formats
- Carousel posts — multiple image attachments in a single post
- Scheduled distribution — time-offset posting so content does not land on all pages at exactly the same moment
Why this matters
For the Shutters Factory Group
The immediate operational benefit is obvious: content that previously required seven separate manual actions now requires one. But the compounding benefit is more significant.
Consistent, regular posting across seven active pages builds organic reach in each market simultaneously. The algorithm rewards active pages. Active pages attract followers. Followers become leads. The cross-poster turns a single content investment into seven parallel growth programmes — without seven times the overhead.
Contact detail accuracy is also non-trivial. A post that reaches a French prospect with an Irish phone number is worse than no post at all. The automatic substitution removes that risk entirely, at scale, without relying on anyone to remember to check.
For any multi-location or multi-market business
The cross-poster is not a Shutters Factory-specific tool. The architecture applies to any business operating multiple social profiles across markets, languages or locations — franchises, retail chains, multi-brand groups, international distributors.
The core value proposition is the same in every case: one content team, one scheduling workflow, unlimited markets — with AI handling the localisation and the API handling the distribution.
A note on the AI layer

The Gemini integration is not a gimmick. Rephrasing is genuinely necessary at this scale — not just for algorithm reasons, but because the same sentence, repeated verbatim across seven pages, reads as automated and impersonal to anyone who follows more than one. The AI layer produces copy that reads as written for each page, because in a meaningful sense it is.
Translation quality is monitored and reviewed. The pipeline is designed to be correctable — if a market requires a different tone, vocabulary or register, that can be configured per destination page without touching the core distribution logic.
The broader picture
This project sits at the intersection of three things we do well: social media strategy, process automation, and bespoke software development. The cross-poster exists because no off-the-shelf tool handled this combination of requirements — multi-market, multi-language, contact-aware, AI-assisted, Meta API-native — at a price point that made sense for the business.
Building it in-house means we own the roadmap. Video support, carousel posts, time-offset scheduling, analytics aggregation across all seven pages — these are all on the list, and none of them require a vendor to prioritise them for us.
