Estiway — Construction Cost Estimation Platform

Development Target go-live: December 2026

What Estiway does

Estiway is a pay-per-report web platform that solves a specific, recurring problem in the Romanian residential construction market: getting an accurate, up-to-date cost estimate for bringing a house to structural completion — the La Roșu stage — is time-consuming, fragmented and heavily dependent on manual price research across multiple suppliers.

Estiway replaces that process with a single, structured workflow. A user inputs their material requirements across the key structural stages of a build, selects from the available products in the system, and receives a fully calculated cost report in under 30 seconds — broken down by stage, by product and by total — with prices sourced directly from the market’s leading construction material suppliers.

The platform is built on Next.js and deployed on Cloudflare’s edge network, targeting fast load times and reliable performance at scale.

Who it is for

The primary user is a private individual or small developer who has an authorised architectural or structural engineering plan in hand and needs to understand the full material cost of bringing their project to the La Roșu stage — covering foundations, masonry, structural columns, floor slabs and roof structure.

The material quantities are assumed to come from the client’s architect or civil engineer. Estiway’s role is to take those quantities, match them against current market prices and produce a consolidated, actionable cost report — instantly.

Core modules

User authentication and authorisation

Full user account management — registration, login, session handling and role-based access. Reports are stored in the user’s account and accessible at any time after purchase.

Online payments — ING Ecommerce Web Pay (with Stripe fallback

Payment for each report is processed via ING Ecommerce Web Pay, with Stripe as a fallback provider. The pay-per-report model means users pay only for what they generate — no subscription, no commitment.

Automated transaction, receipt and invoice generation

Every successful payment triggers automatic generation of a transaction record, a payment receipt and a fiscal invoice — delivered to the user’s account and email without any manual intervention.

Product management

A structured product catalogue covering the full range of raw construction materials required for the La Roșu stage — organised by structural phase (foundations, masonry, columns, slabs, roof) and mapped to designated suppliers for each product.

Live supplier price synchronisation

Prices in the system are kept current through a three-tier synchronisation strategy:

  • API integration — where suppliers provide an official API, prices are pulled directly and updated in real time.
  • Automated scraping — for suppliers without an API, prices are scraped on a daily schedule from their public catalogues.
  • Local fallback — a locally stored price dataset serves as a final fallback, ensuring the system always has a valid price to work with even if a supplier source is temporarily unavailable.

This approach ensures that every report generated reflects the closest possible approximation to current market pricing — not outdated catalogue figures.

Report generation and delivery

Once a user has configured their material requirements and selected their products, the system generates a comprehensive cost report in under 30 seconds. The report is:

  • Viewable in-account as a structured HTML page, broken down by structural stage, by product line and by total cost.
  • Downloadable as a PDF for offline use, sharing with contractors or submission to a bank or financing institution.
  • Sent by email automatically upon generation, ensuring the user always has a copy regardless of whether they return to the platform.

Current status

Estiway is in the final phase of development — testing and scaling improvements ahead of the planned public launch. The core platform is built and functional; current work is focused on performance under load, edge case handling in the price sync pipeline and final payment flow validation.
